Getting Started

Working With Us

Deity Creative works across a wide range of entertainment and creative industries. We take on film and television production (specialty costumes, creature builds, on-set FX), live events and concert tours (performer suits, stage builds, arena props), themed attractions (haunted experiences, immersive pop-ups, brand worlds), gaming and esports events (character builds, display statues, activation environments), and commercial and brand activations. If it needs to be spectacular and built with professional-grade craft, we want to hear about it.
Start by submitting a project brief through our contact page. Describe your vision, timeline, and budget as best you can — even rough details are helpful. Eddie personally reviews every inquiry and responds within 1–2 business days. From there we move through concept development, design approval, fabrication, and delivery. We handle every stage in-house and keep you informed throughout.
Both. Deity Creative is a full-service studio — we can take a project from initial concept sketch all the way through to finished physical build. We also work from client-supplied designs if you already have artwork or approved concepts. If you only need the design phase, we offer that as a standalone service too. Tell us where you are in the process and we'll step in at the right point.
Yes. Deity Creative provides on-site support for live events, film sets, and installations. This includes day-of support at events, on-set fabrication and real-time modifications, performer fitting and adjustment support, and ongoing maintenance for touring productions that run multiple dates or cities. We're there when you need us — before, during, and after.
Budget & Timeline

Costs & Timelines

Every project is unique and costs depend on complexity, quantity, timeline, and materials. As a general guide: a single specialty costume typically starts in the thousands; creature builds and full character suits range from $5,000–$30,000+; large-scale event builds and multi-piece productions range from $15,000 to $150,000 and above. We are fully transparent about budget from the first conversation — contact us with your project details and we will give you an honest, detailed quote with no surprises.
Timelines vary significantly by scope. Single specialty costumes typically take 3–6 weeks. Creature builds and full character suits range from 6–12 weeks. Large event builds and multi-piece productions are best planned 3–6 months in advance. Rush timelines may be available depending on our current production schedule — the sooner you contact us, the more options we have. We always give honest timelines and meet our deadlines.
Yes. Like all professional studios, we require a deposit before fabrication begins. Typical arrangements are 50% deposit upfront with the balance due on delivery, though this can be structured differently for larger or longer-running projects. All terms are agreed in a clear contract before any work starts.
Our Capabilities

Services & Capabilities

Yes — and this is a major strategic focus for Deity Creative. We bring our Hollywood fabrication pipeline directly to live entertainment: concert tours, arena shows, sporting events, brand activations, themed experiences, and immersive events. The craft is identical to what we do for film — the stage is just bigger. Live event producers consistently tell us our quality level is far above what they typically receive from fabrication vendors who haven't worked in Hollywood production.
We use the full range of professional production materials: 3D printing and digital sculpting (Eddie was one of the first Hollywood artists to integrate 3D printing into costume production), silicone and foam latex for prosthetics and creature skins, urethane and resin casting for hard components, traditional clay sculpting and mold-making, fabric and soft goods fabrication, and mechanical and structural engineering for wearable and large-scale builds. We use whatever combination of techniques best serves the project — there's no single method that fits everything.
Absolutely — this is a specialty of ours. Performance-engineered wearables are a core service. We design for the performer as much as the audience: range of motion, ventilation, weight distribution, quick-change capability, and durability for repeated nightly use are all factored into every build. We've built suits worn during full stage performances, arena events, and touring productions that run hundreds of shows.
Yes. Themed entertainment is a natural extension of our Hollywood creature and environment work. We offer end-to-end design and build for haunted attractions, immersive pop-up experiences, permanent brand installations, and themed entertainment environments. We can design the world and fill it with characters — concept to opening night.
About the Studio

Our Background

Eddie Yang is the founder and creative director of Deity Creative. He has over 35 years of experience in Hollywood, having trained under Academy Award winners Rick Baker and Stan Winston — two of the greatest special effects artists in film history. His production credits include Iron Man, TRON: Legacy, The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man, RoboCop, Man of Steel, Avatar, Men in Black, and many more. He won Best Costume Design at Korea's 55th Grand Bell Awards for Illang: The Wolf Brigade on Netflix. He was also one of the first artists in Hollywood to integrate 3D printing into production costume fabrication.
Three things: Pedigree — training under Rick Baker and Stan Winston means our foundational craft standards are world-class, not industry-average. Technology — Eddie was one of the first Hollywood artists to bridge traditional fabrication and 3D printing, giving us a hybrid pipeline most studios still don't have. Live entertainment focus — we bring Hollywood production standards to events, arenas, and experiences that rarely see this quality level. Our clients don't just get something that looks good in photos — they get something built to perform under real production conditions.
Deity Creative is based in Los Angeles, California. We work with clients nationwide and internationally. Our builds ship anywhere in the world, and we provide on-site support for installations and live events across the country. Distance is not a barrier — many of our Hollywood clients have shipped productions internationally.
Yes. Eddie Yang won Best Costume Design at the 55th Grand Bell Awards in South Korea for his work on Illang: The Wolf Brigade, a Netflix original production. The Grand Bell Awards are considered the most prestigious film awards in Korea — the Korean equivalent of the Academy Awards. Deity Creative has also contributed to productions that received Academy Award nominations through collaborations with Rick Baker and Stan Winston studios.
